Dumb question here, why's Wukong (his reincarnation/whatever) fighting Bajie? Aren't they supposed to be buddies? He looks possessed, what's going on?

Don’t know the context of the story here but even in the original novel Wukong has clashed with Bajie before. Bajie was married into a land lord’s family, whom he initially impressed with his ability to work the field (being supernatural and all) but they found out that his natural form was that of a pig and wanted him gone. So when Wukong and Sanzang journeyed to the Gao Village they were tasked with subduing Bajie, and he actually did pretty well against the monkey, with the fight lasting pretty much the whole night.

Yeah Su Wukong is not inspired by Hanuman. Obviously the story itself has connections to Ancient India through Buddhism, but not the India in the Ming era which was a Muslim state.
The way Indian thought process goes is someone else has to make something popular that has clout. Then Indians will use that to go back to their ancient scriptures to say we did it first retrospectively even though we didn't know about it until now.

So Wukong the monkey gets popular. Hey we also have a monkey in our ancient scriptures. Therefore we did it first!

Because somehow only India can think of monkey dieties. Wait til they find out China alone has many earlier ones too. Like Wuzhiqi who is also born from stone. Something you can see mentioned in Chinese back then but not Hanuman.

I just realized that by some interpretation Guanyin is technically trans and since she is a Buddhist deity, she is celibate. So that makes her a non-practicing trans-woman. Take that Sweet Baby Inc.!
Wow that's cultural appropriation of trans culture by genocidal Buddhists, the same Buddhists who are purging the Rohingya in Myanmar.

But if you pay the consulting fee, it may be found that she is actually a historical example of multicultural LGBT and a shining example of traditional Chinese culture that was brutally suppressed by the See See Pee.

We can talk more about the brutal suppression part if you upgrade to our premium membership.

BMW would make a great ad for the upcoming PS5 PRO if it could do quality mode at 60fps. If sony were smart, they would strike now while it's hot.

PS5 Pro is believed to offer only minimal uplift on the CPU side so turning 30fps into 60fps is unlikely, but the considerable uplift in GPU performance should translate to some meaningful gains in image quality at a given preset. Yet there is low-hanging fruit that can be attended to before looking to new hardware, most obviously the odd choices in the performance/graphical presets, e.g. quality mode should be capped at 30fps rather than floating around ~33fps, balance mode should be capped at 40fps for even frame pacing on 120Hz displays rather than 45fps which isn't evenly paced on anything (PS5 does not implement VRR below 48Hz, though Xbox does).

The GPU's rasterization performance is only ~50% but the RT uplift should enable RT comparable to RTX 4070 series. Sony's DLSS2.0 equivalent, PSSR will allow the game to run at essentially 4k30 with high RT settings.

Also based on digital foundry's findings, the game is mostly CPU bottlenecked, so the PS5 Pro's CPU 10% extra performance isn't going to help much.
