Its disgusting how nintendo is asking $80 for a game while offering ps 4 level graphics and assets. It can't be development costs those level of assets were easily renderer and baked 7 years ago.

It seems games under Chinese control are also financially better managed. You have Grinding Gear Games studio behind Path of Exile series backed by Tencent already recovered its development cost by offering a paid($30) early access for PoE 2 a free game xD.
Speaking of Tencent. Now that Tencent owns 25% control over ubisoft, I expect better quality games from them to come out.

They just bought 25% in three games, not the whole of Ubisoft. But those three games are very important for Ubisoft.
What is important is that 25% gave them permanent partial rights and veto ability.

News just came out that all the investors are getting together to try and stop it. I doubt they will succeed. If anything, let's see them sell out and leave, and Tencent can just gouble up some more stock.

Yall, saw the new Switch 2 Direct? $80 for a game... I sincerely hope no one else follows this or at least China doesn't, because this will kill gaming. With Nintendo being this greedy, GTA6 is most definitely going to be $100. Maybe a game industry crash is what we need at this point.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land was one of my favourite games on Switch when it came out. I sold it some time later when I was trying to downsize overflowing bookshelves, but doing so never sat right with me and only last week I finally caved and bought it again. Three days later Nintendo announces an upgraded version of the game with new content for Switch 2...
