untitled.jpgvlcsnap-8381885.jpgSomething new from the AVIC UAV Grand Prix on the 14th. Modular wing concept is similiar to EADS Talarion but with a LO blended wing body as core

2010 zhuhai shown the dark sword UCAV concept , right?

One and the same. 2011 image might have been some sort of subscale testbed. Lot of the discussion at the time was that it was a manned version given the apparent 'head' above the forward fuselage but it looks more like an omnidirectional VHF data link antenna

I've been reading that apparently the $1 million Wing Loong is causing quite a stir. Of course no traditional customer of the West is going to buy it except if it were used for non-military purposes like scientific or surveillance. But I guess the concern lies in it would give countries that can't afford traditional air power to get a limited one now.

They made a mistake asking for so cheap. They might be doing this to attract customers, but the price is too different from what the US sells which only give the people the impression that this thing is crap so it is not worth it.

Instead they should have starts at 1/2 or 1/3 of US's price tag. To give people the impression that, yes is a Chinese version that is slightly inferior, but it will make up for it more than enough by cheaper price and customer support.

1 million dollar just turns people off.

The $1 million figure might just be for the drone itself, not including the expensive sensors and maybe just a very basic comm system.
