If you look at the spec of Pampa, it could hardly threaten L-15 sales. In fact, I think Argentina may in fact buy L-15 but the problem is Chile has take a quicker step in snapping up this L-15. I am sure Argentina do not want to buy a similiar jet to its rival(chile)
L-15 has a whopping speed of 1.6 mach powered by 2 x AI-222K-25F engine with afterburner giving it a max 8400kg of thrust.
This trainer is a fighter/attacker jet in disguise. I am sure it will eat up a Pampa easily given both pilots are equally competent.
I'm sure China will sell a lot of these trainers, especially in South America. Interestingly though, I heard Argentina are going to start producing their Pampa trainers once again. Perhaps this will result in more competition in South America.
