I'm a bit surprised to finally see this take.

So many people looking for proof of Beijing using TikTok for manipulation. Well, that's the thing, Beijing doesn't need TikTok to do anything for years. It only needs TikTok to function for those few weeks/months, even if means TikTok gets immediately banned afterwards.

Unlike other countries, China can easily sacrifice a company for the greater strategical gain of the nation.

Sure, TikTok will do whatever the Chinese government tells it to do, even when the servers are all in the US and the people that run the operations are full of American spooks. Look up the make up of the TikTok board. ;)

What exactly do you imagine Beijing ordering TikTok to do?

Anyone wanna decode what “开把大火烧睡觉“ means
I know that. “大火烧” is Chinese slang for “The Fire Rise,” a mod for the game "Hearts of Iron 4.” “开把” is an acronym for ‘start playing a game’.
In this mod, China's main route is to sweep the Asia-Pacific region.
Since he used quotes, it's probably another derivative of meme, i.e. a reference to someone who plays that mod “in person” in reality.

And, "江米条“, emm....This one is actually a meme from Chinese netizens about Xi too, which President Xi has said he likes to eat.
So that message, “The message in exchange for 江米条,” actually refers to ......
Of course it's just an Internet joke.

I suspected they might have been talking about Xi

How would 开把大火烧睡觉“ mean Xi in this context?

So the full meaning is that the order was given by President Xi.
