this style of ship has very good balance and in high sea states can still clock a high speed, you get very little roll with this design

i wonder whats its for? maybe a test ship?

The newly launched catamaran is a sister of Nan Ce 429, built by Huangpu in 2011. Ce (测) denotes survey ship, I have seen it described as a seabed survey ship, but underwater detection comes into mind.

It has taken a while, China has finally overtaken SK in ship exports.

Korean Shipbuilders Fall Behind Chinese Rivals

Korean shipbuilders were outperformed by their Chinese competitors in exports last year, 11 years after Korea in turn overtook Japan in 2001.

The Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday said analysis of data from the Korea International Trade Association puts exports by Korean shipbuilders at US$37.8 billion in 2012, compared to China's $39.2 billion.

Yes but South Korea has a vast portfolio of a varient of ships they can build from cruise ships to supertankers to Carrier and even the MARS Replenisment tankers for the Royal Navy than China does

But nevertheless a strong step, South Korean ship building is second to none

i do not recal saying anything funny, and anyone who has minimal naval knowledge would know i am refering to the Dokdo Class, if you even know what that is
Yeah I do, but obviously you don't. An 18,000 ton LPH is all of a sudden a "carrier". It's not even an LHD. It's even lighter than the Type 071 LPD. So, yeah.... ROFLMAO

As I've told you many times, if you are unsure of anything just ask, I know your knowledge is somewhat limited, but I am always happy to assist you, again you do know that Dokdo class is a flat top? Come on I know you can do it

Your ability to "assist" people is (fortunately) limited to entertaining everyone by hyperbolizing the Type 45 to the heights of surrealist hilarity. Anyway, I digress. When people say "carrier" without any further clarification, they usually mean fixed-wing aviation carriers, not 18,000 ton mini-assault ships. I think you were exploiting that ambiguity to talk up the Korean shipbuilding industry.... for what exactly? China's shipbuilding industry is currently outbuilding Korea's more by volume and less by sophistication, but it is only a matter of time before before China exceeds Korea in both. Meanwhile UK's pathetic shipbuilding industry continues to be as anemic as its economy.
