well, I guess people in the West has finally caught on. I mean Taylor Ogan mentioned it on Steve Hsu's podcast a while back. The facility itself is somewhere in Dongguan IIRC. But yeah, it's not a secret to people in Shenzhen tech scene.

If Reuters is reporting it then EUV is pretty much completed. Wow! This is the biggest news of this year I would say, much bigger than Deepseek. EUV was the one bottleneck holding China back on not just Chips, but also the entire technology stack such as AI, smartphones, supercomputers you name it. If China can get EUV, then they can finally break the Chip stranglehold and achieve complete self-sufficiency in technology.

Did I not tell you people to relax for the longest time? lol.

But this still needs time to be put into HVM production. So, the people in SiCarrier will be busy and focused for a long time.

Keep in mind that the oscilloscope and laser interferometer commercialization are probably just as important for 3nm production to work. The key is that they built a full supply chain for EUV production.

The Anhui Sixiang Semiconductor Components Headquarters Production Base Project officially commenced construction.​


On December 17, 2025, Anhui Sixiang Semiconductor Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Sixiang Semiconductor) officially commenced construction of its semiconductor component headquarters production base in Hefei’s High-tech Development Zone. The project, with a total investment of approximately 350 million yuan and covering about 6.6 hectares (40 mu), will have an annual production capacity of nearly 300,000 wafers upon full operation, spanning a 14-month construction period.

Founded in April 2022, Sixiang Semiconductor is a science and technology innovation enterprise focusing on the research, development, manufacturing, sales, and service of advanced semiconductor silicon materials. The company has independently developed and overcome key technologies such as material purity, processing precision, and lifespan, and is committed to providing high-precision, high-reliability core consumable components for semiconductor etching equipment. Its products cover the manufacturing fields of logic chips, memory chips, and power devices, and are fully compatible with mainstream etching equipment models both domestically and internationally. Product performance has reached international advanced levels, with yield and stability ranking among the top in the industry. Its products have been successfully adopted by leading companies in the industry, such as Changxin Memory and Yangtze Memory Technologies.

The project was funded through a joint investment led by Hefei Industrial Investment Capital (a subsidiary of Hefei Industrial Investment Group), alongside Optics Valley Investment, Sunac Investment, and other provincial and municipal venture capital institutions—marking a significant collaboration among state-owned assets at different administrative levels. This initiative strengthens Hefei’s semiconductor industry chain and exemplifies coordinated industrial investment in strategic emerging sectors.

Hefei Industrial Investment Capital plans to continue supporting key projects across the region to enhance Hefei's industrial ecosystem and boost supply chain resilience.

Is not the only one. China may have many EUV pilot lines patterning wafers right now.
-Different EUV light sources.
-For EUV inspection.
-Photoresist.
- And so on.

don't expect the western reporters to dig beyond this, lol.

According to Taylor, Huawei alone has 2 separate facilities testing this out.
