Damei Technology MiniLED display production project accelerates construction

Hao Shengyong, deputy secretary of the Huangshi Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Daye Municipal Party Committee, went to Daye Lake High-tech Zone to investigate the construction and commissioning of key projects in the city, understand the problems existing in the project advancement process, and study solutions.

On the same day, Hao Shengyong and his party went to the outdoor full-color screen and MiniLED display, Tengchu capacitive touch screen, Dubian Precision Intelligent Manufacturing and other project sites to check the project progress on the spot and study and solve the problems encountered during the project construction process.

Among them, the outdoor full-color screen and MiniLED display production project was invested and constructed by Damei Technology (Hubei) Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 4 billion yuan. It is located in Daye Lake High-tech Zone and was signed and implemented in early March 2023.

US targets China's top chipmaking plant after Huawei Mate 60 Pro

WASHINGTON, Feb 21 (Reuters) - The Biden administration is turning up the heat on China's top sanctioned chipmaker by cutting off its most advanced factory from more American imports after it produced a sophisticated chip for Huawei's Mate 60 Pro phone, three people familiar with the matter said.
Late last year, the Commerce Department sent dozens of letters to U.S. suppliers to Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC), suspending permission to sell to its most advanced plant, said two people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.
While many companies had already stopped selling to SMIC South, as the unit is known, the letters halted millions of dollars worth of shipments of chipmaking materials and parts from at least one supplier, Entegris, one of the people said.
The Massachusetts-based company, which produces filters, gases, chemicals, and products for handling wafers, the building blocks for making chips, said it monitors and complies with the "rapidly evolving regulatory requirements" for international trade affecting the chip industry.

Naura HDPCVD tool entered verification.

In 2023, the company released AccuraBE, a 12-inch plasma etching machine used in the Bevel Etch process, achieving a "zero" breakthrough in domestic bevel dry etching equipment; successfully developed a 12-inch glue remover The machine ACE i300 has opened up a new territory in the field of 12-inch etching; the independently developed 12-inch high-density plasma chemical vapor deposition (HDPCVD) equipment OrionProxima has officially entered client verification. At the same time, equipment such as furnace tubes and cleaning continues to receive repeated orders, and the platform company's business landscape continues to improve.

However, if SMIC’s top facility “saw its United States supply chain suddenly cut off, that could potentially interrupt their production for 3 to 9 months depending on inventories,” she said. She noted it would take time to find and conduct rigorous testing of new suppliers unless SMIC South had done so in advance.

What stupid response is this? Oh, if that's the case SMIC can just ship the equipment to another factory, OR they could buy from another supplier for the south factory and increase purchases to a factory that can buy the supplies. I'm not even understanding the purpose of this. This is like a supplier saying I'm going to stop shipping burger buns to the McDonald's on Main st, McDonald's is just going to transfer burger buns from another McDonald's. The US has lost all power and is flailing wildly is what this tells me.

absolutely..

pretty much everything has already blocked by the US government.

October 2022 sanctions and Lithography blockade in 2023. even these sanctions didn't stop SMIC to produce 7nm and now they are expanding the production.

so today's sanction is just for face saving in response to Huawei's MATE60.. US has nothing left in semiconductor supply chain to be sanction. LOL

No. The worst part is that Entegris was even considered as a viable supplier
I may or may not know a little bit about Entegris. They're a semiconductor chemical company that produces CVD precursors, etch gases, cleaning chemicals, as well as chemical handling equipment like filters, valves, tubes, pumps, ceramic parts, etc.

Alot of this stuff isn't necessarily hard, but niche. And the supply chain goes deep into the chemical industry. Luckily Chinese chemical industries are quite competent.

this is absolutely nothing compared to October 2022 sanctions and Lithography cut off in 2023. just for face saving in response to Huawei's MATE60.. lol

USA has nothing much left in semiconductor supply chain to be sanction.. in fact SMIC expanding 7nm production on a huge scale. they soon have sanction-proof supply chain.
