Xinying Display's MicroLED pilot line is completed and is expected to expand production and achieve mass production in the next two years​



"In October this year , the Micro LED pilot line of Xinying Display, a joint venture between TCL Huaxing and San'an , has been completed, and small-scale trial production is expected to be achieved in 2025. " Zhao Bin, vice president of TCL Huaxing and general manager of the R&D center, revealed at the 2024 TCL Global Technology Innovation Conference ( TIC2024 ).

In December 2020 , TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics and Quanzhou San'an jointly established Xinying Display, with a planned total investment of 300 million yuan, focusing on the massive transfer, bonding, detection and repair technologies required for Micro LED based on TFT driver backplane .​

High-purity quartz sand purification, two latest breakthroughs!​



Two quartz purification technology-related patents of Zhejiang Runyou New Materials Co., Ltd., namely "A microwave magnetic roasting-gradient magnetic separation iron removal method and purification process for quartz ore" and "A feldspar -quartz flotation combined collector and application method". A microwave magnetization roasting-gradient magnetic separation iron removal method and purification process for quartz ore The invention relates to a microwave magnetization roasting-gradient magnetic separation iron removal method and purification process of quartz ore. First, impurity minerals/inclusions in the ore are magnetically modified by microwave magnetization roasting, and weak magnetic minerals in the quartz minerals are converted into strong magnetic minerals by using a gaseous reducing agent to avoid the introduction of solid impurities. At the same time, Fe-containing gas-liquid inclusions are heated and decomposed at a specific temperature and magnetically converted, and then the magnetic minerals are removed by a permanent magnet-high-intensity superconducting magnetic separation gradient magnetic separation process to obtain low-iron quartz sand. Due to the characteristics of microwave selective heating, gas/solid inclusions are more likely to break and be exposed to the outside world, which effectively improves the efficiency of subsequent impurity removal and purification. With the help of purification processes such as acid leaching, flotation, and chlorination roasting, high-purity quartz sand with Fe≤0.05ppm and SiO2≥99.998 % can be obtained . The method of the invention can remove ferromagnetism, weak magnetic impurities and inclusions in quartz sand in a targeted manner, and has an excellent iron removal effect, a simple and efficient process, and is more environmentally friendly.​

nice, so this looks like another 4N8 purity, which is good enough for the semiconductor crucibles, right?

For a lot of this, it seems like they just need to ramp up production now.

Total investment of 2.2 billion! BOE's photomask joint venture project starts shipping.​


It is understood that Chongqing Matt Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was jointly funded by HOYA Co., Ltd. and BOE Group. It is the first large-scale photomask production equipment investment project in inland China by a photomask manufacturer in the world, with a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan, and plans to achieve full-load production in 2027. After full production, the annual production capacity is expected to reach about 2,250 photomask products, with an output value of 700 million yuan.

Chen Yanshun , Chairman of BOE Technology Group , said that BOE has successively implemented 8 major projects in Chongqing, helping Chongqing to accelerate its development into an important global semiconductor display industry cluster.
