It would be stupid for wingtech not to transfer Nexperia tech and process back to China beforehand.
If the Fabs lost in Europe so be it

They are old 6-inch and 8-inch mature node fabs using old equipment. China now have much newer fabs that can serve those process nodes.

it's not the inches.
It's process tech to manufacture the legacy products. China , Taiwan has alot of digital CMOS tech.
How about the analog know how, BJT, BiCMOS, DMOS tech ?

So i dont think there is any way wingtech will be coming back frkm this, since even nexperia western senior executives have already turned against wingtech. So i cant see how things can het back to the former status quo. So im.afraid they will just have to move on and count it as a loss and learn from it in future.
Nothing that Nexperia does is especial, is pretty much mature crap for EVs, pretty much Wingtech can continue on its own, better yet they can poach talent from the company. What Wingtech did was saving a failing European company from bankruptcy and give them unprecedented access to the Chinese market given Wingtech clients in China.
What I don't understand how this work. Does Wingtech will still collect cash from their investment? It seems like a coup of leadership of the company but not a divestment.

NO MATTER HOW UNSTABLE TRUMP MIGHT BE.
I was not referring just Trump.

Guys, how many times do I need to say this. This is not the thread to air your grievances. Do that on twitter or your personal discord. Let's keep this to technical stuff. It's of no use to discuss payback or punishment or whatever page after page.

"Wingtech Technology (600745.SH) announced that recently, its subsidiary Nexperia Semiconductor and Nexperia Semiconductor Holdings (collectively referred to as “Nexperia”) received an Order from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and a ruling from the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. On September 30, 2025, local time in the Netherlands, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy issued an Order to Nexperia, requiring that all 30 global entities under Nexperia—including its subsidiaries, branches, and offices—must not make any adjustments to their assets, intellectual property, operations, or personnel for a period of one year. Although Nexperia’s daily operations are still ongoing, the aforementioned Order and the Enterprise Chamber’s ruling will result in temporary changes/lengthening of decision-making chains and reduced flexibility in resource allocation in the short term, which may have a certain impact on operational efficiency. The company’s control over Nexperia is temporarily restricted, but its economic rights as a shareholder remain unaffected. The company’s shares and convertible bonds will resume trading from market opening on October 13, and the company’s convertible bonds (“Wingtech Convertible Bonds”) will also resume conversion."

Now I get it a bit better, looks like that Wingtech can still cash out of Nexperia but they lost their decision making power at least until the issue is solved.

Looks like Harbin? Xintu as going the DPP EUV route while Tsinghua Landau Technologies is going the LPP EUV route.
We've seen many patents and reports about EUV light sources, but how many do they actually need? Rumors about EUV prototypes and test lines have surfaced. Does the industry really need lots of different types of light sources?

The one who reach the highest power and cleaness.
Also, no only lithography machines need EUV light sources but also EUV metrology and EUV mask inspection tools. China is building an entire EUV supply chain.
