"Established in 2010, Leadyo owns two facilities in Dongguan and Shanghai which can test about 120,000 wafers and 300 million finished chips every month, according to the company's website."
I wonder how is it possible to test 10 million chips every day. It just boggles my mind.
Thank you very much for the explanation and link. I have no technical knowledge, so please bear with me a little bit.probe cards can test thousands of chips at once:
It's a wafer form-factor disk with electrical connections (not really a card...) that has a test circuit for every die on the wafer - which could be hundreds-thousands. You press it onto the wafer and it tests all 3000 simultaneously.
And China might be able to buy a lot of second hand SME dirt cheap. Who knows, maybe even an EUV equipmentYes, a huge global glut is coming. All the Western semi companies are going bankrupt.

If I understood correctly you get a recently engraved (is this what you call it?) full wafer and put on to that round plate and it will test the WHOLE wafer at once. Is this correct?
Once you test the whole wafer, it is cut up in as many individual chips and then each and every chip is packaged in its final form.
Once they are finally packed and ready, are they tested once again? Would they be tested individually? Or are the chips only tested while still as a complete fresh wafer and not tested anymore after packaging?
Thanks for any clarification.
It just means you can't buy shares listed on HKEX directly from the SSE. It doesn't affect you. And even if they delisted, you wouldn't have to sell. The company would credit you the money at market value if you sold.Hi friends, I have been lurking a long time and never post.
However as an overseas Chinese, I invested in SMIC in the HKEX to support the Chinese semiconductor industry.
Now I found out that SMIC will be removed from the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect.
Can someone more knowledgeable explain to me what it means ?
At first I thought it means that it will no longer be tradable in HKEX.
But the wording in the article "removed from the SSE SH Equities Index starting Aug 16" suggests to me it will be removed from Shanghai instead.
Does that mean SMIC will only be tradable in Hongkong ?
Why ?
It doesn't make sense to me.
On the other hand, if it will be removed from HKEX instead, doesn't that mean I have to sell it before 16 ?
I can't find more information on this because my Chinese is quite poor
