Latest demonstration of the position of strength from Biden and friends. Guess Xi Dada is pissed that Hunter took 40 million USD in red envelope money but is not doing any real work.

Looks like huawei has its own lithography division (SiCarrier). Does anyone know what they made? Maybe both DUV and EUV.
maybe its Kirin chips are produced by Huawei partner with License from SMIC.

Anyone knows what does SMIC new fab planned operation first quarter 2024 at Lingang made? Is this part of its 28nm expansion?

how its measly N1 fab can support Huawei and Loongson combined huge volume?? No way.

maybe Huawei has its own network for producing chips.
SMIC makes at least the advanced chips for Huawei. based on hvpc, Huawei right now is trying to validate domestic tools for 14nm

Lingang is for 28/40/55nm node, which btw, is hugely important.

alright, Nova 12 chip details are out.
We will get K9000SL and K8000
That looks weird. It lists nine cores.

These are the cores used in the K9000S:
2.62 (TaiShanV120)
2.15 (TaiShanV120)
1.53 (Cortex-A510)

My guess is this K9000SL is a 2.35 GHz TaiShanV120 core with SMT turned on, with another three 2.15 GHz TaishanV120 cores with SMT turned off, and four 1.53 GHz Cortex-A510 cores.

So basically the same thing as the K9000S except the best processor is clocked down, and the second best processors have SMT turned off. They might be binning K9000S processors which can't clock high enough, and disabling SMT on some of the processors to make a downgraded processor for the Nova 12.

right, I assume SMT wasn't on in this case for the medium core. I'm not sure if they can be turned on or not.

Binning is a high possibility here. So, expect a little more variation in the performance of K9000SL

Also, I'm curious about this 8000
