Jinhong Gas's 600 million yuan high-end electronic special material project is expected to be trial-produced by the end of the year.

Recently, Jinhong Gas's new high-end electronic special materials project Phase I R&D building project has entered the completion acceptance stage.

It is reported that the high-end electronic special materials project covers an area of 85.2 mu, with a total investment of 600 million yuan, mainly engaged in the research, development and production of high-end electronic special materials. After the completion of the project, the annual production of electronic grade perfluorobutadiene 200t, electronic grade octafluorocyclobutane 500t, electronic grade monofluoromethane 100t, electronic grade silicon tetrafluoride 200t, electronic grade hydrogen bromide 600t, electronic gas and mixed 30,000 bottles of gas and 280,000 bottles of helium.

According to today's Xiangcheng news, Jinhong Gas said that the first phase of the project is expected to reach the trial production state by the end of the year, and the second phase of the project has obtained a construction permit at the end of March and is in preparation for construction.

It is reported that Jinhong Gases has provided comprehensive gas solutions for semiconductor customers in the fields of specialty gases, electronic bulk carrier gases, and TGCM. Customers include SMIC, Leadchip, Jita Semiconductor, Xinyue Energy, and China Resources Shanghua.

These are some of the most highly value added chemicals with extremely tight quality requirements. This also shows the danger of depending on imported chemical metrology tools.

Yes, this kind of quality monitoring scientific tools need more attention in China. The government launched this year a project to fill the gap on these tools. Let see what happens.

Memory chip market may be showing signs of bottoming out as China’s YMTC leads Samsung, Micron in raising prices

YMTC, which accounts for about 5 per cent of the global NAND memory chip market, recently informed its customers that it will increase pricing for its 3D NAND flash memory by up to 5 per cent, the Taiwan Economic Times reported on Thursday, citing unidentified sources.
YMTC did not respond to a request for comment.
Other major memory chip makers such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Micron Technology are expected to follow suit and raise NAND prices by a similar range, according to Taiwanese IT media DigiTimes.

cross posting this with science thread.

getting put on entity list did little to stop National supercomputer lab in Tianjin. The new generation exascale computer Tianhe with 200 PFLOPS of FP64 (each A100 is 19.6 TFLOPS FP64, so this is ~10000 A100) has been unveiled.

Interesting enough

This seems pretty weak actually. No banning of devices with micron products?

Very likely, though, this could be potentially included... my view is that a lot of the language in Chinese officialdom is kept intentionally vague and open to interpretations and those selling devices to SOEs and other key infrastructure companies are much less likely to include Micron products now to be on the safe side. And a lot of the devices in the Xinchuang business have already been replacing foreign memory products with locally made ones too. It seems like the ban is on public purchases, though, and I wonder what effect this could have on private company purchases of Micron products.

well, the big one is apple sales to China. You cannot really hurt Micron until Apple products to China stop being delivered with Micron DRAMs and SSDs.

I do buy the notion that they are keeping that part vague to allow for negotiations, leverage or something
