2022.12.26 good news: a key project "high-precision laser interferometer " passed the acceptance
The key engineering project undertaken by our studio passed the test and acceptance in December 2022 after two years of hard work and overcoming difficulties by the whole group of teachers and students.


2023.3.7 Good news : for vacuum was successfully tested in a user unit Ultra-high-precision laser interferometer
The displacement resolution is 5pm, the displacement measurement standard deviation reaches 30pm, and the measurement noise energy density is less than 5pm/ √ Hz.
The ultra-high-precision laser interferometer for vacuum integrates extreme technologies such as ultra-high-precision laser frequency stabilization technology, picometer-level high-precision laser interference mirror group, and picometer-resolution signal processing. It marks that the Benji Research Laboratory has successfully reached the first solid step in picometer measurement, which has laid a good foundation for the comparison of picometer laser interferometers between China and Germany this year.
oh nice, I remember reading that first news. I would imagine ultra high precision laser interferometer is for the domestic EUV.

Ren Zhengfei's latest speech: Huawei completed the replacement development of 13,000+ devices in three years​


According to the official account of "Shanghai Jiaotong University Advanced Industrial Technology Research Institute", recently, Huawei organized a symposium with some award-winning teachers and experts. Huawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei delivered a speech.

Ren Zhengfei said that first of all, he would like to thank everyone for their contributions to Huawei. We are still in difficult times, but we are not stopping on the way forward. In 2022, our research and development expenditure will be 23.8 billion US dollars. After a few years, as our profits increase, we will continue to increase investment in frontier exploration.

Ren Zhengfei pointed out that it took us three years to complete the replacement development of 13,000+ devices and the repeated board replacement development of 4,000+ circuit boards... until now our circuit boards have stabilized because we have domestically produced components.

良率无法计算,这款是样机,无法完全用于产线的量产。之所以发往中芯国际而不是ICRD,给ICRD发的是子系统,不是整机。中芯在该项目的工艺较强,加之华为在深圳,G家统筹这三个公司做这方面的事。只能等跑出小批量后才能看到良率,一台设备的产能和良率数据最早需要一年半左右才能得到。光刻机在实验室时,只是将图片曝出来,到产线上,但和实际使用情况差距比较大

长江存储、中芯国际、上海积塔。90nm到现在一共出了三四台,今年预计要出三四台,订单已有4台。订单分别是给长江存储 (复购) 、燕东微电子、合肥长鑫、青岛芯恩

90nm一台多少钱? 一年产能多少? 有扩产的计划吗?
一台9000多万,一年产能有六七台,一年产值差不多6个亿。扩产目前没有计划,如果订单量提高,可以通过三班的方式扩产,大概能扩产一半的产能。

华为自己做的光刻机和专项是两码事吗?
是的。华为分三块在做。一方面是下一代EUV光源的研发,另一方面是和Fab厂中芯国际、上海微电子把28nm调出来;第三块是从上海微电子挖来了许多分系统的项目经理,负表买尼康的设备进行调试。买二手的尼康,大概有5台。
Says HW is involved in EUV project, qualifying 28nm DUVi & it all bought 5 second hand Nikon scanners.

用最新款,将来调试后就可以做到14nm的芯片。通过浸没式把波长从一百九十几变成154的波长缩短波长,原理和ASML的2000i差不多,通过双控电台达到多重曝光的技术。买来的机器本来是干式的,要加浸没系统,变成湿式的、浸没式的。然后再改工件台。从前是单工电台,现在是双工件台。

是的,28nm只要能把芯片做出来才算完成项目,14nm或者中兴那边7nm的制程工艺,即通过多重曝光能做到7nm工艺的情况下,7nm及更高工艺的芯片就不会受到限制。公司的产品对标ASML的NXT2000i。
28nm need to pass validation because the project is considered finished. Can only validated on 14nm/7nm with SMIC. 28nm machine's target is NXT2000i, so that it can do 7nm.

most of this sounds reasonable, but I'm not sure about its authenticity. It sounds way too Huawei focused.
