"Tsinghua University" company Beiji Xiongxin released the first AI chip based on Chiplet architecture​


According to news from Jiwei.com, recently, Arctic Xiongxin released the first "Qiming 930" chip based on Chiplet architecture.

Arctic Vision has been incubated and developed by the Cross Information Core Technology Research Institute founded by Academician Yao Qizhi of Tsinghua University since 2018. It is led by Ma Kaisheng, assistant professor of the Cross Information Research Institute of Tsinghua University, and the team comes from well-known semiconductor institutions at home and abroad.

Since its establishment, it has received investment support from Weihao Ventures, SMIC Xicheng, Xunfei Ventures, Sequoia China, and Turing Ventures. AIC has successfully independently developed various NPUs such as "Qiming 910" and "Qiming 920", as well as "Qiming 930" AI chip.

It is reported that Arctic Xiongxin has been focusing on the exploration of the Chiplet field for three years. Qiming 930 is the first intelligent processing chip based on Chiplet heterogeneous integration developed by Arctic Vision. The chip is produced using a 12nm process. The HUB Chiplet uses a RISC-V CPU core, which can provide 8~20 TOPS by flexibly carrying multiple NPU Side Dies ( INT8) dense computing power.

The chip is based on nationally produced substrate materials and 2.5D packaging, and can be used in different scenarios such as AI reasoning, privacy computing, and industrial intelligence. It has been tested with a number of AI downstream scenario partners.

bro it means that sufficient SSA800 DUVL will be delivered by June? IF it does then how many DUVL machine is needed for mass production 10-12 units? what I know SMIC Beijing had initial capacity of 100K to150k WPM and is upgradable to 250k WPM.
