That‘s not analog signal oscilloscope. It's for optical fiber, totally different stuff
Lianxun PAM4 Oscilloscope Helps Optical Communication

The development and production of optical communication networks and high-speed interface optical chips, optical devices, and optical transceiver modules all require high-performance sampling oscilloscopes for accurate measurement and verification. In order to ensure that the eye diagram of the high-speed optical signal under test can be tested accurately, the oscilloscope usually needs to have higher bandwidth, lower amplitude noise and lower inherent jitter. Based on the principle of isochronous sampling, the sampling oscilloscope does not require expensive and complex ultra-high sampling rate ADCs, but can use ADCs with higher conversion bits, so it overcomes the shortcomings of high cost and poor accuracy, and is more suitable for ultra-high-speed optical/electrical interface testing , and has been widely recognized as a standard conformance test instrument by various standard specifications. For a long time, sampling oscilloscopes have been monopolized by foreign test instrument giants. China, the global optical communication industry gathering place with the largest demand, has not had independent and controllable related test products for decades.

Is basically an oscilloscope adapted for high speed optical photonics, they even compared it with "Keysight", it use an complex algorithm to avoid using highly complex analog to digital converters that would make this more costly for its intended purpose, but there is nothing stopping this guy from making versions for general purporse analog sampling like high speed gallium nitride RF ICs, who knows.

It's not an analog signal oscilloscope, that's it. Whatever they claim they can "potentially" do,until the claim has been materialized,it's null and void.

It is difficult to probe high GHz range analog signals directly without distorting the signal I believe, since the inductance impedance is too high.

I am not electronics engineer but there are EEs here.

Usually time domain reflectometry is used for high frequency IC and PCB.

This is not productive.
I know there are analog oscilloscopes "the old ones" with CRT monitors.
There are digital oscilloscope that use Analog to Digital Converters to transform an electric signal into discrete wave for a microprocessor to read.
There are mixed signals oscilloscope that have different input that treat digital signals like a "digital analyzer".

This is basically a digital oscilloscope that take a signal from an optical source, in this case, and is transformed into an electrical signal to read, I don't know if is transformed into a electrical signal before the input with a converting device or inside the oscilloscope, but still use a ADC to convert the electric signal into discrete one but a lower resolution one, they use a some techniques to archive the performance of an ultra high resolution ADC without the need of using one, for this specific use.

But if you said is not an oscilloscope, I guess is not.

If you have experiences with oscilloscope operation, just look at the interface of this device, does it look like an oscilloscope to you? When did you ever see oscilloscope look like this?

Alright more updates from Moore Threads

They signed a deal with NeoLink(a cloud service provider) to provide GPU solutions for Metaverse and next generation Internet. Sounds like more S2000 orders coming for them.

I do think it's on the PC front where they are going to make their mark.

They have completed some kind of integration with China Greatwall Tech group's TD120A2 octacore desktop and also TD079A2 small desktop. It sounds like TD120A2 is using all domestic hardware and software. In this case, the certificate is for MTT S30 with Phytium D2000 CPU and Galaxy Kylin V10 OS.

Moore Threads supports x86, ARM and LoongArch so can work on these domestic desktop procurement with all the major CPU choices. The market for Moore Threads is huge.

They also partnered up with 奇安信 trusted browser to allow hardware integration with the browser in order to reduce the CPU load.

If you read the bottom part, 奇安信 is a browser used by government & enterprise customers for greater security. Again, it makes a lot of sense for Moore Threads to go after this type of customer base who are most likely required to go fully domestic soon. This could be a market for 50 million desktops. That's huge for a startup GPU company. Given that S2000 and S30 are all using 12nm process. It's quite easy to think that they can just have SMIC produce all their chips. Although it's unclear at this point who is actually producing it.

Hygon raised their forecast for 2022 performance
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
753 to 852 million RMB profit for the full year (up 130 to 160% YoY)
5.01 to 5.36 billion RMB in total revenue

From Q3

公告显示,前三季度归属于母公司所有者的净利润6.52亿元,同比增长424.16%;营业收入38.2亿元,同比增长180.88%;基本每股收益0.32元,同比增长433.33%。
so in first 3 quarters, 652 million RMB profit and 3.82 billion RMB in total revenue. So 1.2 to 1.54 billion RMB revenue in Q4. About the same as first 3 quarter's average.

Moore Threads might overtake Biren, since it has a stable desktop GPU market as well as datacenter, while Biren does not have such a guaranteed market and is competing against other companies in the datacenter space.
