From what I can gather... the majority of producers of monocrystalline silicon are either from the west or Japan... monocrystalline silicon wafers, which are made from monocrystalline silicon through wafering are used for semiconductor production... and I would has it a guess that the majority of the equipment in wafer production either come from the US or use US tech... so this production equipment would mean tech independence for one of the steps in wafer productionHi horse,
