Politics in the US is a complete mess and a significant amount of the population has gone fringe. If Europe understands us politics, they would be insane to actually follow along to oppose China in any type of alliance.

"DESPERATE PEOPLE DO DESPERATE THINGS" is the only words I can describe the US sanction on China. As I said before the shock value had descended, ever since the sanction on Huawei , it's expected that Trump will sanction all Chinese tech company. As everybody had been saying this tech war is a blessing for China and it's a rude awakening for all Chinese tech company.
They will oppose china and do it.. trust me..Biden is more worse because it get support from western allies..The only solution is to make more allies with neutral nation like ASEAN, middle east, and africa..make friend with malaysia and indonesia because they are choke point of malacca straits..drop nine dash line claim and reaffirm ties with asean.. don't invest anything with nato alliance including 5g

It's expected, in this geopolitical game, you need to make yourself attractive, and what's more attractive than the huge China market. In this crisis driven world everybody is looking for it's own self interest cause the US can't provide that leadership(money man it's all about the MONEY). The only bright spot is China.

The Germans say they will allow Huawei into their networks, as long as they pass the requirements that are set for all equipment providers trying to sell into Germany. The game is rigged, because Huawei already permitted full auditing of their gear by the relevant German authorities.
America did not win with this German decision.
A few days later, we see the biggest block of entity listings of Chinese companies. Some bordering on absurd.
Now even DJI cannot buy American parts, but are allowed still to sell their drones to the American market. A Chinese company cannot buy anything from America but that same Chinese company can sell anything to America. Geez, that makes a lot of sense.
When the propaganda is this bad and cheap, the defeat is total.

This chapter evaluates the US government's expanding export controls on Huawei.This chapter has four major findings. First, over the next five years even substantial Chinese efforts to replace American capital equipment and EDA tools with homegrown alternatives are very unlikely to succeed. Second, the severity of constraints on Huawei will depend more on the availability of international alternatives to American technology than on the availability of Chinese products. For chip design, the lack of suitable legal alternatives to American EDA tools globally will severely challenge Huawei’s ability to design chips. In contrast, for manufacturing chips, there are alternatives to American capital equipment within a relatively short timeframe so manufacturing firms could relatively quickly produce Huawei’s chips if they chose to eschew American technology to do so. Third, these constraints will most likely knock down Huawei but will not knock Huawei out of the telecommunications industry. Finally, the longer-term costs for American capital equipment and EDA tool vendors could loom large as foreign customers perceive American-made or -designed products as carrying significant political risk and strive to develop alternative sources.

Sure, some nations should be courted for alliance but that alliance centers around Chinese strength and must be on Chinese terms. Dropping your territorial claims to shower them with concessions shows nothing but weakness and invites "friends" who endlessly demand tribute in return for their continued "friendship." The nine dash line is China's to keep. ASEAN will build ties with China anyway because they want to be friends with the strongest military and economic power in the region and that is China. If an alliance is not made on those terms, then it's better not to have one at all.
