That could be true. It seemed Mr.Ren was "bluffing" when he recently said that Huawei was on the life-and-death situation? which contradicts with actual sales/income within the last 3 yrs that showed Huawei was in normal operating mode.. secondly, there is no way China's govt would ever let Huawei die.
Huawei won't die. The government loves Huawei

China's cyberspace regulator encourages Huawei to enhance innovation and digitalization construction
The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has encouraged Huawei to make breakthrough in core technologies to accelerated the independence and innovation of top technologies under the guidelines of the 20th National Congress of Communist Party of China (CPC), according to an article published on the official website of CAC on Sunday.
Cao Shumin, deputy head of the CAC, delivered a speech at Huawei, encouraging Party members in technology companies to lead the whole progress by implementing the outlines of the 20th CPC National Congress.

Cao stressed the need to accelerate the construction of domestic network connection and "digital China" in order to realize the modernization driven by informatization, including building an independent innovation system, accelerating the digitalization in multiple sectors and making full use of the strengths within the system.

About 200 staff and representatives from Huawei, and officials from the CAC attended the lecture.

Huawei is hard to die, especially Huawei's industrial network infrastructure in China is too huge... almost they participate in most areas.

By sales, Huawei is one of the top electronics company worldwide.

Huawei is bigger than Dell, Sony, Bosch, and even bigger than Intel.

Huawei dying is kind of impossible.

They are on the march, building fabs, along the Ho Chi Min trail. Soon the attack is coming. The Americans will be stunned, and will not know what hit them.

The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated Huawei circa 2022. ;)

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king.”

Bro to lightened your mood, please see @sunnymaxi post on China engine development and marvel at the new engine been shown.;) , we have overcome one of the last two bottlenecks and I think regarding Semiconductors we have partially solved it with the introduction of an indigenous DUVL in the form of SMEE 28nm SSA800, this machine and its future improve iteration will be the savior of China IC, it will hold the line until a viable EUVL is introduce in 2025 (14th 5 year plan). Both the aircraft engine (01 project) and the DUVL (02 project) are the results of the 13th 5 year plan from 2016-2020.

Regarding Huawei I'm expecting its return next year and I'm waiting for @olalavn to provide more info especially on Kirin 8 series that Huawei plan to introduce late next year.:cool:

Both BTG Labs and Surfx Technologies are american companies. Every single american company and its products are liabilities and must be removed and replaced with either european ones or domestic ones.

I think these kind of acquisitions are very good for both firms involved, for many reasons. It is a win-win deal. I hope to see more in the future: when bounds are strong is more difficult to break them.
