IDK about that cloud software stuff, it's way beyond my pay grade. Is that just for integration with the rest of the fab?
That sounds like your average industry 4.0 sales pitch. Everything is connected and produces data, they will digest the data on their own cloud services spit out some data graphs for customers.

Given all that data they receive they can/might predict a system failure before it actually happen and inform a customer that their machine needs a check up asap or they will send a person somewhere next week to do maintenance.

They are companies in China offering similar AI data monitoring cloud services, IDK if they connect to US made metrology equipment or if they only work with Chinese metrology offerings.

Both Nio and Xpeng use NVidia's DRIVE/ORIN/THOR.

Btw, BYD also use NVidia DRIVE/ORIN/THOR along with Li Auto and SAIC Motor.
it would be good if you understand what's going on in Chinese NEV industry for a little bit, before posting stuff like this. BYD signed deals with both Nvidia and Horizon Robotics earlier this year for smart cars in 2023. That is an extremely short term setup while they are working on their own chip (which we know that they are doing). Especially with the recent sanctions, Nvidia won't be working with BYD for long.

That's quite different from Zeekr picking Thor after the A100 news came out.
Where exactly did I post fake news here? BYD absolutely is/was cooperating with NVidia, you even just wrote the same thing I did. Just because BYD makes alot of inhouse chips doesn't negate the fact that they DON'T HAVE a working chip platform ala. NVidia ORIN/THOR. BYD, Geely and China's other EV and semicon companies need to do what they have to do to advance between now and when they do have what they don't have now. That applies whether they are planning their own chips or waiting for a domestic China chip. Same story with other companies like OPPO/VIVO who have their own SoC chip plans. Do you see them not cooperating with Qualcomm or MediaTek? They can't stand still or else they'll lose profits and market share. If that means cooperation with American companies they know will eventually be sanctioned from China, then so be it, but don't deny these facts.

Looks like YMTC is not in their public list of clients. If YMTC make their bed with the devil (KLA), I hope it was because they didn't couldn't found anyone offering nothing close to what they need, anyone with two braincells know that the fate of those cloud services are in the hands of the company who provide them.

no, you are not giving the full picture. When you just say they buy chips from Nvidia, you are completely ignoring the fact that they also are also buying from Horizon Robotics. Huge difference between what Geely is doing vs what BYD and Li Auto are doing.
