^ That's how I know my work is done and done right.
Which is what? To bully people? Calling people tidal wave, trolls, bots. Stomp on people so you can win every argument to the nth degree. I made a neutral comment on how most countries will likely be onboard with the tech restrictions because they will be forced to.
You interpreted that as me wanting China to lose, lol. If I wanted China to win or lose, the last place I would share it is online.

There is a phrase when you see someone doing some physical feat that says: "I got tired just watching this person"

I know that the sense of frustration of Chinese executives should be brutal right now but I cannot even imagine the sense of frustration that this US executives should be feeling discussing this issues with this national security clowns. Babbling about "the duty", "China this China that", "decouple", "splitting the supply chain", "military", "they vs us", or things that they don't even have an idea what they are talking about, the frustration have to be absolutely in another level, they have to take a good doze of Valium before every reunion.

If the US talk about splitting the monopoly that China has on rare earth between the US and their allies, they may get someone agreeing with them.
But when the US talk about splitting this:
View attachment 99410View attachment 99414
Anyone who agree has to be checked in the head.

That is like Nvidia giving their market share to AMD by splitting its own costumer base . You know that the investors are going to eat Mr. Jensen sorry ass alive.
You make 100% sense....BUTTTTT..... we're dealing with absolute mental cases and that includes the American allies/vassals. Look at what is going on in Europe right now? Everybody knows that Europe is going to be freezing this winter with possibly thousands dying if temperatures are low enough. What isn't better appreciated is that European industry is about to enter a literal depression, or at best the worst industrial recession since WWII, with industrial closures across the board Europewide. Instead of negotiating some sort of energy deal with Russia, the rhetoric is as hostile as ever with no solution to their energy situation. This anti-Russia sentiment in Europe is a psychological issue similar to America's anti-China derangement. You think Trump derangement syndrome or the woke mind virus is a purely American phenomenon? This anti-China ideology is also widespread in Europe. It's the same thing, just not nearly as serious. If Europe is stupid enough to destroy themselves at the behest of Americans, they are stupid enough to destroy their win-win cooperation with China. I'm not saying this is definitely going to happen, but you can't assume these idiots have brains. Once this is over, I expect China to not only take almost all the former American semiconductor marketshare in China but also a VERY sizable share of what used to belong to European and possibly Japanese & Korean semicon companies.

Chip-equipment manufacturer says that up to $550 million in sales at risk quarterly from restrictions U.S. is putting into place for exports of high-performance semiconductors to China

Applied Materials said the ban could hurt first-quarter sales by roughly the same amount.
Shares declined 1.5% in after-hours trading following the announcement, after a 0.4% decline in the regular session to close at $76.01.
As a result, Applied Material executives revised their financial forecast for the fiscal fourth quarter. They now expect fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $1.54 to $1.78 a share, compares to the prior forecast of $1.82 to $2.18 a share. The forecast includes a 23-cents-a-share charge for resulting inventory and remanufacturing costs.
The company also expects fourth-quarter revenue of $6.15 billion to $6.65 billion, down from its prior forecast of $6.25 billion to $7.05 billion.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated earnings of $2.01 a share on revenue of $6.67 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter. Analysts were expecting first-quarter revenue of $6.79 billion on average, according to FactSet.
Applied Materials shares have declined 51.7% so far this year, as

Does China has substitution for Applied Material, LAM, etc?

I don't think military use any chips lower than 14nm ? not sure about F-35, it may use some 7nm chips

Even 90nm would do just fine, power efficiency is not a big deal for military weapons
You're so right Sir, Just look at what happen to F-35, over engineering makes a lemon plane. I think the designer is a Fools Garden fan...lol While that of J20 using 22nm or 14nm chip is an admirer of Enter the Dragon.:p

Let's all sing together:)

I'm sitting here in a boring room
It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon
I'm wasting my time I got nothing to do
I'm hanging around I'm waiting for you
But nothing ever happens
And I wonder
I'm driving around in my car
I'm driving too fast, I'm driving too far
I'd like to change my point of view
I feel so lonely, I'm waiting for you
But nothing ever happens
And I wonder
I wonder how, I wonder why
Yesterday you told me 'bout the
Blue, blue sky
And all that I can see
Is just a yellow lemon tree
I'm turning my head up and down
I'm turning, turning, turning, turning
Turning around
And all that I can see
Is just another lemon tree
Sing dah
Dah-dah-dah-dam, dee-dab-dah
Dah-dah-dah-dam, dee-dab-dah
Dab-deedly dah
I'm sitting here, I miss the power
I'd like to go out, taking a shower
But there's a heavy cloud inside my head
I feel so tired, put myself into bed
Well, nothing ever happens
And I wonder
Isolation is not good for me
Isolation, I don't want to
Sit on a lemon tree
I'm steppin' around in a desert of joy
Maybe anyhow I'll get another toy
And everything will happen
And you wonder
I wonder how, I wonder why
Yesterday you told me 'bout the
Blue, blue sky
And all that I can see
Is just another yellow lemon tree
I'm turning my head up and down
I'm turning, turning, turning, turning
Turning around
And all that I can see
Is just a yellow lemon tree
And I wonder, wonder
I wonder how, I wonder why
Yesterday you told me 'bout the
Blue, blue sky
And all that I can see
And all that I can see
And all that I can see
Is just a yellow lemon tree

Do you have any links that J-20 use 22 or 14nm ? I am a bit surprised really

There are from @theorlonator post.:)

Hi guys, this was from an old Nikkei article about China's equipment maker competitors to the global equipment maker competitors. Is there any company missing from this list? Maybe some more knowledgeable posters like @olalavn or @tokenanalyst can answer.
