China is a gentleman, the US uses the "chip law" to ban funded companies from investing in China with processes below 14nm
but they don't know that Chinese companies can replace US companies in 14nm or less process such as:
Huawei, Honor, BBK, Alibaba, Tencent, Cambrian, Jiangwei, Zhaoxin, Loongson, BYD, Horizon.Mooretheard....
@olalavn Sir any news on the rumored Huawei FAB in Shanghai? from what I seeing with the huge cost of producing chips, maybe Huawei is focusing more on packaging with chips coming from SMIC rather than producing themselves?

But they cannot sell as low cost as China can. So why would anyone buy from ASML instead of from China? China is the number 1 super power by the 2030s. The US cannot support ASML for long. The US is a decaying power the way Rome was.
@Yommie Bro please lessen the chest beating, in the multiple polar world the US will be among the great powers. China is living in interesting times and we know from history what happen, we may see a renaissance of Chinese ingenuity, invention and innovation. So take inspiration from what your opponent is doing rather than stood at his/her level. It makes them look stupid, a quote from their famous movie character icon "Stupid is as stupid does"

The US will not be a power anymore than Brazil and Mexico are powers. Power depends on demographics. By the 2050s the US will be white minority. Won't even have a single aircraft carrier anymore most likely.
@Yommie Not the sole superpower BUT among the many, the US had the capacity to rejuvenate unlike the EU. We are deviating I have a YT video here in Chinese, I hope some of our esteem members can translate it to us.

The US has a chance to rejuvenate if Chinese engineers continue to work in the US for Intel and AMD. That is not at all guaranteed. Already we are seeing Chinese engineers choosing to work in China instead of in the US. By 2050s when the US is white minority and in poor shape, I do not see a good chance for the US to rejuvenate.

@manatee988 bro to answer, how many FAB can afford an EUVL?
How many companies can build EUVL machines?

But they cannot sell as low cost as China can. So why would anyone buy from ASML instead of from China? China is the number 1 super power by the 2030s. The US cannot support ASML for long. The US is a decaying power the way Rome was.

Is there any company in China that can produce these machines and sell them to international customers at a scale that matters?

@Yommie bro we may agree to disagree BUT I stood by my statement, the US will be among the great powers that include China, Russia, Brazil and @crang favorite India. I for one want China to be among the powerful nation not the sole superpower. The reason IF attain the sole superpower status, we may become complacent and look inward that started the hundred years of humiliation or become a hegemon like the US.
