And since we love Huawei so much from the post provide by @Oldschool in that thread I browse a post by Stock Road Sweeper detailing the progress done by Huawei, I've had a post speculating that the latest Huawei monitor may used a 40nm chips produced In house by Hisilicon, I maybe wrong BUT the force is strong on this one.

can anyone help by telling me what city Huawei's 28nm fab is located? are they using all domestic manufacturing systems including SMEE's litho scanner?

i put it more like 2025 for the first working machine. I think SMEE already shipped their their immersion lithography scanner to SMIC and YTMC for testing and verification but the mass production of parts for the machine still is going on and because EUV optics is different, my guess that they are going to put more effort in immersion and dry lithography for now. i think most SMEE scanners and steppers are going to receive an upgrade. the hint is that SSB500 is now the SSB520.
my friends in SMIC and YMTC are not aware of them taking shipment of SMEE immersion system. are you certain these immersion machine has already shipped from SMEE?

Not 100% certain, but i only know from a more reputable source than social media and the news (even Chinese ones) the SMIC received 1 machine from SMEE in 2020 and YTMC another in 2021, my guess is for R&D and immersion verification because is the main issue now in China, i really don't know how secretive those companies are with their R&D and more when you have the U.S. government in your neck. Do you friends work in the R&D department of those companies? Can you give us some insights?

Another think that there has been an big quantity of new patents in immersion lithography in 2020-2021 by the companies that are developing the machine and the company that is making the optics already is committed to the mass production of components for lithography.
