2023 sounds really early for EUV but i hope the rumors are true.
But if 2023 is the year of EUV testing then in 2025 China might be ready for sub 7nm nodes.
That would be like having two cherries on top of the made in China 2025 cake.

My guess is, if it appears as a working version in 2023, it will be ready as a low-volume producer. So it will take its place on the factory floor.

It could be a machine using Harbin's DPP light source. From what we've heard, that's farther ahead than the LPP.

I just scolded that Olala this morning. He is vietnamese chinese, have a tendency to be very jingoistic when it comes to the topic of Chinese semiconductor. Some of his claims are literally baseless, I have no idea how he is so confident.

@Tyler bro not only with SMIC but also with shanghai ICRD, I think they're doing a dual approach. One with ICRD with its Shanghai FAB due to be finished in 2022, the other one with SMIC in Shenzhen where Hisilicon R&D is located and in my opinion and speculative on my part, a joint collaboration regarding the 14nm 3D Chiplet. What I read and learned is that the Shanghai FAB will be focusing on Automotive chip, so that makes the Shenzhen FAB a obvious place to produced the 14nm chips.
