B787 deserves credit for his incessant ramblings and insistence on this deal going through this last couple years.

i do not deserve nothing, it is the news, if the deals goes through, and it looks it is done already, by 2017 your position will be ridicule, people will see your opinion was no more than fear to acknowledge Russia still is ahead in engines and China needs desperately the engines for J-20

If China is to get Su-35 (S or SK) on 10 - 20 Dec, 2016, the aircraft should be finished and done all ground test and flight test as well. I see nothing, hear nothing (official). I still maintain my stand, I will believe it when I see it.

Good news! So the earliest we might get to see some photos would be in late December? J-11D is nowhere to be seen, so these Su-35S will give the PLAAF a nice boost. Wonder what camo they will adopt.

PS: I personally think the Su-35S should go to the PLAN instead of the PLAAF.

Small correction to you; according to previous posts the S version is for RuAF and SK for PLAAF (or PLAN). SK seems to be a downgrade version of the S.

You are correct. Since it is an export version it should be Su-35SK.

Side note: Whats disappointing is the lack of news on the J-11D. J-11B is a decent aircraft but I am not sure how it will fair against latest F/A-18E/F (let alone the F-22). J-11D should have filled that gap but it is still a no show. Su-35 should be able to fill that gap.
