Like Jeff, I will believe it when I see the Su-35 in the PLAAF color. Even then, it won't change my opinion of how ROSTEC has conducted its business. They have done a poor poor job of establishing credibility. No other major corporations has done thing in such damaging manner. It's literally a lesson of what-not-to-do in business negotiation.

And that is no more credible to those of us on this thread who have seen these things over and over again...one excuse after another, the latest always trying to explain away the former excuses. It is just words.
And please, do not try and compare such an announcement to the CEO of Boeing or the CEO of Lockheed. They have not worked themselves, over an eight year period, into the need for such convoluted explanations.
There simply is no comparison.
As I say, if you want to get my attention on this matter... post something to this thread when the PRC, via the CCP or the PLAAF makes such an announcement.
Until then...IMHO, we are back to another unconfirmed report.

I don't know who this guy is, but his response to a direct question is interesting. Although he was asked a very direct question: whether China signed a deal for the Su-35, he didn't answer the question. He basically said that the Su-35 has been a collaborative project between Russia and China. And after efforts from both sides, there has been some success. And both nations will continue to collaborate in a mutually beneficial way.
Why not just answer the question? It's already in the news everywhere...

LOL, you have to get use to the ways the spokesmen and spokeswomen from China foreign ministry/ defence dept. etc.. answering questions from news reporters. That is they standard response, no direct yes or no, but you can interpret that is affirmative.

Sounds like a yes otherwise he would've said no, project is dead etc. Maybe he wasn't in a position or authority to confirmed therefore he was dancing around the question while still sounding positive.
Based on past acquisition or even indigenous products, the Chinese officials have always been very very late in officially confirming anything but they do drop hints here and there.
Not sure if it's a cultural thing or what or maybe need permission from the party bosses.
That's just how the Chinese Department of Defense (or Foreign Affairs for that matter) rolls. They get paid to put things in a roundabout way.
