Chinese purchase of Su-35

The #08 Su-35 was spotted at Taiyuan en route to Zhuhai, which is the same aircraft "performed" wingtip-touch-runway at Amur this August.

To admit - and I surely do not want to open up again a heated debate whether pro and contra the Russian and/or Chinese industrial base - but I'm surprised or even shocked by the building quality ... or the lack of it ! :(:(

I imagine that as marketing displays these particular air frames are not taken care of very well. Wonder what they're doing at Zhuhai.

The Su-35 has been to other airshows throughout the years. I imagine the Zhuhai airshow would simply be another show they want to go and get some publicity.

So Russian marketing strategy is "Look how bad build quality our fighters are, now buy these with billions of dollars, please?".

No wonder they have hard time to find new customers for SU-35.

Well you shouldn't be to surprised, I know you've been hands on with lots of Russian junk, but I have reminded everyone that Chinese Flankers have a much higher build quality than Russian Flankers, lots of that is in precision, but most is in attitude. To a Chinese worker, working on the J-15 or J-16 is an honor to be taken seriously, and the J-15 is a status symbol or labor of love. I noted that when some? where complaining about the pre-production prototypes wearing zinc-chromate to the carrier, that very few airplanes are gorgeous in zinc-chromate, but the J-15 may be even prettier without its make-up. I know a certain Russian Moderator on our sister forum would prolly "warn me" for saying so, but it is true, Chinese build quality rivals and may exceed made in America, actually getting closer to "Swiss" tolerances and production standards? Now, that is also a pre-production aircraft, building Flankers is OLD HAT, but with the F-117 and OVT, that Su-35 would kick some serious butt,,,,, F-16, F-18, J-11B, F-15,,,, each would have their hands full in a real turn and burn with that Su-35 jockey, and his flying demo is likely to be about three shades of "INSANO"... She is the same bird that grazed a wing-tip, and has likely been "beat on",,, just watch the demo, you'll see what I mean??

Prolly NOT??? I don't see it? But like the J-31 the Su-35 is a "great airshow airplane", and the Russian Jockey will go insano in his demo, expect the Pugachev Cobra, etc, etc, unless somebody say NYET! can you say OVT boys and girls?:p:p:p:p

So much for the supposed RCS reduction claims.
