Chinese oversea bases

According to Ayi, the 056As weren't a gift or sale to Cambodia; those were just excuses and they're actually de facto deployments to the base.

Interesting. In that case, would the Royal Cambodian Navy still receives any 056A FFLs from the PLAN?

In the meantime, maybe China can look forward to more "Joint Support and Training Centers" elsewhere.

Also, Cambodia has some restrictions in its constitution with regards to foreign troops on its soil. Note the difference between the name of this base and the one in Djibouti: 中国人民解放军驻吉布提保障基地 vs 中柬云壤港联合保障和训练中心 -- People's Liberation Army Support Base in Djibouti vs China-Cambodia Ream Port Joint Support and Training Center.
I heard that china will have exclusive access to like 1/3 of the ream base. Does anyone know anything about this? Where did they get this information from or what are they basing such claims off? leaked documents or anonymous interviews by RFA/VOA etc? lol

In the latest 察话会, Yankee talked about the S26T submarine for Thailand and noted that the Thai submarine base is too big if it's intended for use by just one country. I quote: 当那艘潜艇入列的时候,我很好奇那个潜艇基地会叫什么, hinting that it could potentially become a joint submarine base between China and Thailand.
