Would it kill them to have some creativity? OS looks exactly the same as MacOS. Down to the settings icon.
They're probably trying to appeal with familiarity. People generally don't like trying new UI.

Somebody has to rip off the bandaid that is google services eventually, might as well do it now. There are more people willing to degoogleify than you might think. Is anyone here a developer/has deep understanding of HarmonyOS Next?
I'm trying to understand how viable HarmonyOS NEXT is going to be as a major player outside of China
1. Is there really going to be zero support for android apps? Currently Huawei products are at least useable because of apks (+MicroG and Gspace for apps that need google services). Are developers really going to be willing to develop for a brand new proprietary OS that doesn't have much customers? And google apps won't exist at all. That's unusable for most of the world ex China.
2. What is the potential of HarmonyOS on PC? Are apps developed for HMOS Next going to need separate versions for x86 and ARM PCs? Are phone/tablet apps going to be easily portable to PC? Is it going to be a viable PC OS like MacOS or just something like tablet android?
Sorry for the spam of questions
Even Google as search engine is garbage right. If Huawei/Baidu offers an English alternative it will do very well even if it lacks an App Library as comprehensive as GoogleSomebody has to rip off the bandaid that is google services eventually, might as well do it now.
