Chinese Marine Propulsion

Seems like the CCG will be the first to use CODAG propulsion system on their cutters instead of the PLAN on their warships?

More to the related subject. The 2nd picture is from another academic paper from 大工院.

Summing up @勤劳朴实罗素历's article on the subject - If the two papers are referring to the same thing, we could actually be looking at a brand new marine gas turbine engine with an output of 18-20MW, a thermal efficiency of nearly 40%, and with an architecture that is quite close to the LM2500.

However, the probability of the academic papers using LM2500's stats straight away shouldn't be discarded either.

What should be QC500's power? 50MW?

Yes.

And my previous mention of the QC400 needs to be corrected:
... since per @勤劳朴实罗素历's recent indications, the QC400 now has electrical power generation output of around 50MW.

He also clarified that the QC400 is actually 40MW-class, not 50MW-class.
