Not sure if this belongs here. Allegedly an Israeli origin UAV owned by India was hijacked by China along the LAC, flown around for a while before being returned. It was briefly a Chinese UAV.

It would be kinda hilarious if the Indian drone ended up giving the PLA a more detailed, comprehensive and close up mapping of the Indian side’s bases and forces deployments while under Chinese control than anything it managed to capture on the Chinese side.

It’s even possible that the PLA has hack these drones in the past, but only stayed passive and recorded the footage instead of taking overt control. If that is the case, then them openly showing their hand like this means either there is something of particular interest on the Indian side they wanted a proper close look at to warrant the reveal of the capability; or China is planning on something on its side that it doesn’t want the Indians to see, so hacking the drone is a great way to degrade their surveillance capabilities as the Indians will now be forced to ground their drones least they risk the Chinese not giving it back next time.

Here's the actual reporting from Indian military and technical experts that discuss the Chinese advantage in this technology and tangentially related to that incident talked about in the article.
