Not sure if this belongs here. Allegedly an Israeli origin UAV owned by India was hijacked by China along the LAC, flown around for a while before being returned. It was briefly a Chinese UAV.

It doesn't belong here. We have a dedicated Indian military thread.

In a milestone development, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has granted its first Air Operator Certificates for passenger-carrying UAVs to two companies: Guangdong EHang General Aviation Co. and Hefei HeYi Aviation Co. Both operate Ehang EH216.

Hydrogen fuel cell power system for UAVs and other vehicles. It lasts 3 to 4 times longer than lithium ion batteries. The system is in production and has been used to drive two-wheeled vehicles, forklifts, drones, and provide emergency power backup.

The CH-817A UAV. It has a flight time of 20 minutes, a max range of 15km, a combat radius of 3km, and a payload capacity of 150g.

More information on the VTOL UAV shown at the last Zhuhai Airshow in scaled model form. It's intended as an emergency rescue drone. Not sure what kind of propulsion system it has. Specs are as follows:
– Length: 2.6m
– Height: 1.6m
– Wingspan: 2m
– Max takeoff weight: 200kg
– Max payload: 80kg
– Range: 50km
– Max speed: 240km/h
– Cruising speed: 200km/h
– Can take off and land in wind state 7 and cruise in wind state 8 (presumably Beaufort scale).

Drone mothership.

The arrangement feels kinda weird, they could just hang a whole bunch of thermos drone from the following post instead and it will be more compact.

I wonder if it is possible/worthwhile to deploy fibre optic drone from a mothership.

I feel the thermos drone is much more limited range wise than small quad copters.
