General
PLAAF low cost UAV competition criteria are for technical areas
Reconnaissance and guidance, integrated reconnaissance and attack, anti-armored targets, reconnaissance and mapping, search and strike, transportation and delivery.
70% technical and 30% price

Screenshots of some of the competition subjects, which are specific scenarios used to test the competing products. Subjects include using FPV drones to attack individual soldiers as well as fast traveling vehicles in a complex battlefield (filled with smoke screens, electronic interference, decoys). Urban warfare subjects include scenarios where FPV drones must map out the interior of a multi-story building (all the rooms, stairs, doorways, windows, etc.) within a set time and conduct autonomous search and strikes against its occupants.

Preliminary rounds of the low-cost drone competition have been completed. Forty teams have made it to the final round, which is being held right now.
