Depends on the atmosphere, and whether they add treatment to allow it to be photographed seem.
Because you can see laser beams in many outdoor concerts.

Yes you can.

But that photo is misleading -- it's hardly an example of China equalling or surpassing US laser technology -- it's probably just a targetting laser or something. But the PRC is making strides in the field of lasers

I have a pic of the same, but with only ONE beam instead of THREE. Someone PSed the photo one way or another, but this matter itself, is real.

That laser platform, is widely believed to be used at Type 99 MBT for "Electric warfare".

Laser beams used for out door concerts are different than laser beams used for blowing up say, an IRBM.

Most likely, as Red Sword has said, that's just the PLA's prototype for an ECW variant of the Type 99.

Kinda reminds me of this peculiar Soviet creation:

I'm assuming that picture of that Type 99-ECW is just armed with those laser "blinders" that are standard for the Type 99 but up-powered to provide longer range and more pew pew.

It is the sensor blinder used on the Type 99.
