This is written in the US style, where politics is a movie - it has story, characters, plot twists, good vs evil. That's why campaign promises can be broke at will, it has no more bearing than Spiderman declaring that he will defeat Venom once and for all. But that's all it is, a movie. The audience cannot change the plot whatsoever. Some actors can change but nobody said that substituting Brad Pitt for Johnny Depp could change the movie entirely.Article written by Cai Xia, in perspective of as she describe herself
This person was and has been always attracted to Right wing ideology disguised as Liberty, freedom, and democracy. And to some extent her views can be viewed as a Libertarian not just politically, but socially, and economically as well. Her defense of the Chinese American business person who was arrested for soliciting prostitution back in 2013 as a nothing burger and doesn't harm the public good since the action of the horn dog was a "private" matter. I wonder what's her stance on the use of recreational drugs? Prostitution etc...and what convinced her that Constitutional Democracy is what's going to fully unleash China's full potential? Last time I checked China's economic ascendancy was made possible by the current political system and her economic modernization is UNPRECEDENTED IN MODERN HISTORY. Meaning, that no other countries western and non-western, democracy or not achieved the level of progress.Article written by Cai Xia, in perspective of as she describe herself
Jiang Zemin had this person as one of his closest associate which sometimes give me pause to Jiang Zemin's inner thoughts as well. The man was a loquacious in your face type of leader which made Hu Jintao looked tame and mute when he replaced that Russian speaking, opera singing leader.Article written by Cai Xia, in perspective of as she describe herself
Good observation. The guy has some ability to conjure stories and drama out of nothing. He seems to be styling his writings to suit a certain Western demographic. This is written in the US style, where politics is a movie - it has story, characters, plot twists, good vs evil.
She's Cai Xin, a former party professor and worked under Jiang Zemin all throughout his tenure. She apparently felt disillusioned beginning in 2012 which means that her boss's preferred candidate to replace Hu Jintao didn't win hence her lost of confidence.Good observation. He is in bad luck though, that market has already been cornered by comrade Gorgon Chang
Years ago? I thought she was kicked out back in 2020Cai Xia is a she, there is a reason why the party kicked her out years ago.
Lol good catch, didn't even read the name. My mind automatically classifies them under the propaganda label nowadaysCai Xia is a she, there is a reason why the party kicked her out years ago.
In an interview from the United States, where she has lived since last year, Ms. Cai
“This party has become a political zombie,” she had said in a talk that circulated online last month, apparently spurring the party school to take action. “This system, fundamentally speaking, has to be jettisoned.”
Ms. Cai returned fire, accusing Mr. Xi of undermining China’s prospects for peaceful democratization and recklessly alienating the United States and other powers.
Ms. Cai, 67, is among a cluster of Chinese dissenters who have recently decried Mr. Xi’s policies, including his handling of the coronavirus outbreak and imposition of a national security law on Hong Kong.
Incensed by the treatment of Mr. Xu and Mr. Ren, Ms. Cai has spoken out in their defense.
“They have persecuted Xu Zhangrun by ruining his reputation, humiliating his dignity, stripping him of his right to work and cutting off his livelihood,” she wrote in an essay published by Radio Free Asia last month. “This is openly intimidating all in the Chinese scholarly community, inside and outside the system.”
In the interview, Ms. Cai argued that in the longer term, Mr. Xi’s policies would push China toward a political crisis by isolating the country and extinguishing domestic hopes for orderly economic and political relaxation.
She said that she supported the tough line that the Trump administration has taken against the Chinese government on trade and other issues, even if she had qualms about some of its tactics

By the way here is a new york times article about her...
Check out the red flags, she really ticks all the boxes lol
