I think these two look slightly different:

Wheeled assault gun 001.pngWheeled assault gun 002.jpg

1. The gunner's optics look likes they are on two different heights.
2. The picture above seems to have the remote weapon station on the left side in the front position. The picture below has the remote on the right side, much close to the rear of the turret top.

The second picture should be a pretty accurate depiction of what we see earlier of this assault gun on trail.

An interesting video on the Mengshi-III that shows off it's remote weapons station (RWS). It looks to be a versatile 'trigger puller' that can mount automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and down to the humble QBZ-95. The RWS shown in the video might be an improved version of the RWS seen previously (image 3, 4, and 5).

A good video on the 8x8 brigade, with a good look at the IFV's interior, as well as the digital command network.

Nice! So it is pretty clear now that the IFV carries the same number of soldiers and crew as a Bradley: 3 crew (1 driver, 1 gunner and 1 vehicle commander), 7 soldiers (6 in the back, one in the front). I've been wondering how many soldiers the 8x8 IFV can carry. Now I clearly saw the compartment of 6 soldiers, as well as that hatch right behind the driver's hatch, it's pretty much clear now.
