The new 8x8 with what might be floatation devices attached to the hull.

The second photo shows every driver and gunner in roughly the same position, this reflects high consistency in their techniques of entering the vehicles, which in turns reflects a lot of training.

Don't know if kidding or ...

I'm not from a mech unit but have been around them a few times.
Even from a turn-out where the unit is at parade rest in front of parked vehicles, the mount up is never as synchronised as this.

I've also been involved in a couple of pressers shooting TV spots for the army and again, the number of rehearsals and NGs just to get things lined up just right is tiresome, to say the least. This to me shouts out #publicityshot. My 2c take on this is that it is a shot contrived exactly to show this level of synchronicity, like the way parades are drilled for just to get the formation lined up just-so. Nothing wrong with that - except let's not draw the wrong conclusion.

Re: Photo#2, something that goes against the grain of what you say wrt consistency of technique. Have a look at the guys entering the turret hatch. From Right to Left
#1 weapon is back slung but barrel is controlled so he should be fine.
#2 looks to be in a later stage of entry and probably weapon is in front of body and controlled so he should be fine too
#3 and #4 looks like they are going to be in a world of grief very very soon.

Bottomline - #3&4 are exactly exhibiting inconsistency in technique of entering the vehicle.
