As far as I know type 03 wasn't that much liked by the airborne troops , the only got a battalion worth of them .
Now it is likely to due with the lack of heavy lift before Y20 become wide spread ,now that Y20 has matured , as far as I understand the rest of battalions will get the wheeled IFV instead .

They haven't moved away from tracked vehicles. In fact, new tracked airborne IFVs are under development.

Wow, that's a lot of vehicles already. Does anyone know when this was put in service exactly? Looks like they are being manufactured at a very high rate. And any indication of its designation?
