The twin driver hatch is interesting! Periscope with more protection or armored windows. Nice !The GPZ111A minesweeper based on the Type-08 8x8 chassis. It clears mines by deploying line charges, minesweeping plows, and its microwave emitter. The emitter is the spider web looking thing, which can disable electronics in landmines or detonate the mines from a safe distance

The windowed hatch is used only during training for better visibility, in actual combat deployment, the driver relies on the periscope on the top hatch, his training and commander's instructions.
So they don't keep the windowed hatch on deployment? It's way better than having the head out without any protection when you need visibility... was thinking they were able to switch from one or the other ?

VN-20 heavy IFV.
A model of the VN20 from IDEX 2023. It has a different turret, with what appears to be a 100mm gun and a 30mm auto-cannon. Also note the new optical turret. Might it have some kind of laser countermeasure built in?
