These aren't APC though, but Heavy IFV's. The idea is just an expansion of the concept of IFVs in that they not only have to keep up with the MBT's speed, now they should alse keep up armor wise.

The base model Namer is only armed with a machine gun/grenade launcher, no? So, it's really an APC more than an IFV, an IFV variant also exist but not widely adopted compared to APC version.
If it is VT-4 based one I don't see why not.
