Does the CS/AA5 have recon role? If not, can't it be just an IFV? I was not talking about it having recon role as a necessity.

Okay, I'm going to explain this to you once.

CS/AA5 (VP10) is an IFV offered for export with an unmanned 40mm turret.
It IS NOT in PLA service.

Currently the PLA does not have any IFV in service with a proper unmanned turret of autocannon caliber (in PLA's case, 30mm or above).

If you want the PLA to have a IFV with an unmanned turret with an autocannon, or a recon-IFV with an unmanned turret with an autocannon -- that is fine, many of us also would like to await the PLA to have an unmanned turret on their IFVs as well.

HOWEVER -- the recon vehicle that you replied to in post 1880 is very reasonable in having a 12.7mm remote weapons station -- because not all recon vehicles requires a 30mm/autocannon.
Additionally, that recon vehicle's RWS obviously is not designed to accommodate a 30mm autocannon.

Therefore, if you want to talk about a 30mm/autocannon on an unmanned turret, you should not have replied to those pictures of the recon vehicle.

Can 12.7mm mg outrange shoulder fired AT weapon?
Depends on which shoulder-fired AT weapon. Kord apparently has effective range of 2000m, which exceeds that of all RPG + similar AT launchers, the NLAW, and even PF-98 (if you are strong enough to lug it on your shoulder). On the other hand, some third-generation shoulder-launched ATGM such as HJ-12 or FGM-148 have effective ranges of ~4000m, presumably in conventional 'direct attack' modes, but even in 'top attack' modes both of them should still be capable of engaging targets at distances of at least 2000m or more (forgot where I got this from, but IIRC HJ-12 can hit up to 2500m in the latter mode).

Anyway, ZBD-04A during Zhurihe 2021

A rare image: an amphibious armored minesweeper based on the ZBD-05 chassis.

I know this is off topic but from your post, HJ-12 and Javelin can only hit up to 2km (or 2.5km, do you have a source?) in FNF mode and 4km in direct attack mode?
