Chinese Grenade Launcher II

I don't think so. If it was a dazzler why would he be in a foxhole? And why is it shaped like a rifle complete with muzzle. No its a laser engagement system for training and the nail that clinched it for me is they are wearing laser receivers on there gear. You can see them on the helmets and on the vests. It looks like they stopped issuing the Hemet smokers too.

They've MILES kits similar to those use by the US and about everyone else, using something else instead isn't efficient or money saving...

its similar to but not MILES. Miles uses a blank firing attachment and a specialized firing system. That is mated to a existing weapon.
now although we have seen the QBZ series in more and more numbers those are older units and given the redesign to the weapon and the fact that some units are still using older weapons perhaps this was plugged in to ease the logistical burden by allowing new QBZ95Gs right to the troops well units in simulation are still slowed to simulate engagements. Additionally here in the US there seems to be a move away from blanked weapons for simulation and to newer electronic based simulated fire as it is safer and allows more types of weapons systems to be simulated like pistols. Its possible this is a Chinese attempt to keep up with those Jones.

I hate the MILES kit, they're so clunky and you spent more time making sure it works than conducting FTX (field training exercises).

Good, that means less time spending cleaning your weapon after firing so many blanks.

I'm also confused as to why they don't use bullpup configurations on their grenade launchers. The QLB-06 is at 9.1 kg; moving the magazine to behind the trigger would cut another 1-2 kg and allow the grenadier to carry more ammo.

The drum magazine, the bull pup has to be able to actually be maneuvered by the user high caliber weapons like grenade launchers need magazines that fit there rounds the bigger the round the bigger the mag

That's no mere scope. Notice the laser warning label on the side. At a minimum, that thing has a built in laser rangefinder, maybe even a ballistics computer as well.

new generation of "smart" scope has built in cross wind sensor and microprocessor, this allow first shoot first kill at 1000 meter away. "smart" scope incorporate laser range finder, the laser not only provide range but also act as a cross wind sensor.data automatically appear in the scope.

God damned things sound downright nasty. *Shivers*

If you've used guns of bullpup and "conventional" designs before, you'd realise how limited it'd be if to adopt bullpup design for grenade launcher. If the calibre is 25mm that's the limit to keep things from going to the unwieldy department, above that you need it in drum or revolver cylinder, or pretty impractical long "box" magazine for the same capacity.

Besides, mass in itself is an effective measure in recoil dampening, alas not to make it too heavy.
