How far in the story can they get in a movie? 2 hours is basically the intro to the series where at most they can get to Guo Jing meeting the 7 heroes of Jiangnan if they follow the story truthfully. They will need 20 movies to finish the series.

They all end up being severely shorten and made into 2-3 movies. Fans usually hate them. I actually don't care since i just enjoy them for what they are.

I thought tencent bought up all the rights and planned to do a tv series for the loch/roch/hsds. Kinda surprise another movie is coming out since one was made just 2 years ago

That makes me a bit nervous about the upcoming Jin Yong game. How will they fit all those stories into a game unless they plan on cutting some content out or making DLCs?

I remember I played a jin Yong game 20+ years ago where u can learn all the legendary skills in a ff4 like setting based on ancient China of course... Took me over 50+ hours to finish. I don't remember the name. But the battles were turn based.

Now a days with the graphics, it would be a massive undertaking for sure. Can always release in parts like WoW. Each one add a book worth of characters and skills.

I just hope they don't skimp on the content. Reading from their website this new Jin Yong game seems to be really big with the open world and Unreal Engine 5. I believe even if we give them time till 2026, it probably still won't be enough.

I had to look this up the trailer looks really awesome, It also seems chinese studio's are adapting UE5 really well. Hope they can achieve the same level of combat gameplay design as Japanese studios.

It is possible that the new Legend of Condor Hero movie will cover either the end of the official novel or a telling of the story between loch-roch. Found this on the weeb:

"Under the leadership of Genghis Khan, the Mongol army marched westward to defeat the Jin dynasty and then planned to head south to eliminate the Song dynasty. Skilled martial artists from various schools of the Central Plains were involved in the fierce battles. Representing the epitome of chivalry, heroes like Guo Jing gathered the strength of the martial arts community of the Central Plains to defend Xiangyang for the country and the people."

Their geography was taught by a PE teacher. Jin was not to the west of Mongolia, Xia was.
