yes. just gave rough estimate. so 1500 units of WS-10 series.More than that. You have to account for spares. Usually it is 1 spare per every two aircraft.

We don't need a stupid think tank to tell us where they are at. We have a fellow member @abenomics12345 who actually meets with Chinese CNC makers and ask them questions about their technical level and how much of their parts are domestic. In 5 years, Companies like Kede will be first rate in all of these areas. Seriously, stop posting nonsense from CSIS.
Not sure they would need to rip out foreign tools though. Keep them until you can’t service them. If bans prevent them from being serviced swap them out then.I don't think we know exactly how far along Kede will be in 5 years but can say for a fact that the company is looking to 3x deliveries in the next 2-3 years. It is inconclusive whether they can rip/replace all of the foreign CNCs machine tools out, but it is a certainty that it is a priority for the domestic military industrial complex to do so.
Oneninety from Weibo claims that it is just one of the prototype planes repainted.
doesn't matter now.Never been so happy about being wrong about something.
This has greater long-term strategic significance than any other big ticket items in the PLA arsenal we have seen in recent years.
