Chinese Engine Development

I already explained why your argument is wrong. Go re-read my posts. You’re just throwing a tantrum about it like you always do when you don’t have any substance to stand on.
I did that and I will say that I was unnecessarily snippy. What I should have done from the beginning is explain why your discussion of airstream speeds is a non-sequitur when we're considering the maximum speed of aircraft.

It's correct that an air-breathing engine does no work (and thus produces no thrust) if the inflow and outflow speeds are equal. We all understand conservation of momentum. However, aircraft (civilian and military) engines do not operate anywhere close to the inflow/outflow equilibrium. The outflow speed is always substantially higher than the inflow speed (the speed at which the aircraft is travelling).

What determines the maximum speed of the aircraft is the balance between the thrust of the engines (which can drop the faster an aircraft is moving) and the drag the aircraft experiences (which increases as the faster an aircraft is moving). Yes, the aircraft is not producing the sea-level stationary thrust in all its flight regimes, but that doesn't change the fundamental balance of forces argument.

萌虎鲸 privately said that new-gen engine has been put on high altitude test and repeatedly said it should come no later than 2035.

Not sure how credible he could get on new engine development as he actually does NOT a good track record on ICBM development as far as I can tell but there you go.

With regards to China using Japanese CNC machines to make engines, I think this is more for legacy reasons than something else. A decade ago Chinese CNC machines were not good enough. Right now they probably are good enough, but you do not just trash machines you already have in production for no reason, so this is basically institutional inertia.
Yeah, people don't just throw things away when they work well and meet the need. My mom still kept using the Panasonic CRT TV at home which is older than many people here in the forum. :D

new generation engine means, variable cycle engine ? if yes then i would say 2030. coz this project made significant progress in materials as per the news announced yesterday in material conference held in Xian.
