Lets not forget that 2/3rds of American exports are in manufacturing, many in areas that China is starting to aspire to and to date is the first place of choice for foreign talent
Is it 2/3 export in manufacturing? I thought a lot of the export is agricultural. Then, I bet China has even higher portion of export in manufacturing, but none of these matters because they are not related to this thread.
I thought it was high , but then I heard it repeated several times with interviews on the American economy.
No it doesn't really have anything to do with the thread directly, but I was only answering several posters suggestions in the possible demise of American engineers.
While we are talking here GM the icon of American supremacy in manufacturing went belly up. Never say never who would though 20 years ago that GM can fail
I still remember when Japanese car first show up Everybody laugh until they drop .They say who would buy a sardine can ? See this is how you do it built big car that ride like ship ALOT of Chrome and plush velvety seat.
To which the Japanese reply well we only sell car for starving student
Until the gasoline shortage hit the world and suddenly those thrifty japanese car make sense and people notice that they have less problem with their car, The rest is history!
And how on earth should China get hand on the AL-41 core ???
I think that's completely BS.
