report claim that WS-15 has 10:1 Thrust ratio, which is surprising.if they can delivery that kind of engine, surely they can technically produce jet engine that can rivalry M-88 or ej-200 rather old WS-13

Also, the advanced technology used on WS-15 can be borrowed to improve WS-10, WS-118, and WS-13 !

The WS-13 is pretty much comparable to the European ones already.

See Flanker tread ... this is one of the old original prototypes '533' and I know this image since April 2011 !

As such nothing new ....

The F-404 and M-88 don't have much higher ratios, and does it really matter since there's an aircraft usually attached to the engine?

at 9:1 ratio compare with WS-13 at 7:8? Let see ,we still has to wait for AVIC promise of 100kn (or it was 95kn?) version of WS-13 .(WS-13G?)

Yes, there was some discussion, but it was on old image of the J-11BS prototype 533 and as such an old engine !

did anyone notice that zhang enhe, the chief designer of the ws-10 is not even a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, were the project a big success, he would have become a fellow long time ago. I heard that he was voted out in the first round back in 2007.

I have a sense that the ws-10 has become a "chicken ribs" project, it's time to move on. hopefully the ws-15 will be a success.
