Qualcomm is pure evil. It took a whole barrage of companies to knock down their CDMA2000 platform with UMTS.
They do all sorts of scummy things to knock down their competition. You can almost bet they are the reason Huawei got sanctioned in the first place.

lower taxes... lol. plus my job was to screw the unions, and I hate them to the guts when I have to negotiate with them. But took a while for me to realize that it is useful to have them around to keep my bosses honest....

Saw some posts saying that China's HSR network is a time bomb in terms of economics because of the mounting costs of maintenance.
Even assuming the HSR has more benefits than costs due to positive externalities, is it true that costs of maintenance will increase?
Is it possible that as time goes on maintenance cost actually decreases instead due to improved tech, increased energy generation, higher efficacy etc?

They are build on sand. I do not take any company or product seriously since 2018 which depends on core technologies from the US, EU and Japan.
