The problem with buying from Evergrande is that your house may not be there yet when you make a purchase. It might not have been physically constructed yet. If you sink your money in then you may lose it for good.
only if you preorder. they still have physical stock of unsold properties.
The U.S. doesn't really need to though. It is a food export country. If worst comes to worst they can just halt export to hoard produce.
I posted the story to focus on chinese actions, not american ones. But correct, the US has that advantage.

Because of Elizabeth Holmes being convicted, the media is rehashing the details of her fraud. Big corporate and political movers and shakers were tricked into investing billions into her scam. I heard that these people because they weren't experts in these fields hired the experts that would know to investigate and make sure her ideas sounded plausible. They all signed-off that her ideas were legitimate.
Right now you hear a chorus of pundits claiming China's economy is faltering. Where did they get that idea? Blackouts in China that last short periods of times while ships off the US coast containing goods that are needed to keep the US economy going are waiting at least three weeks before they get unloaded? A ship coming from China can make it across the Pacific before a ship off the coast of Los Angeles waiting three weeks gets unloaded. The latest the so-called experts claim will hurt China is the Omicron virus that will spread uncontrollably throughout the country because China's vaccine booster shot they say is ineffective against Omicron when they already said China's vaccine doesn't work at all against COVID-19. Shouldn't the previous variants have already spread and reeked havoc on China's economy when they're saying Omicron is the one China's economy can't escape?
The West claims it does its due diligence and is not motivated by politics so their analyses are sound. One great power that the West has that's undeniable is their ability to lie and make their own people believe they're incapable of lying. It's a culture of lies because even the people that are told the lies know they have to keep up the lies because they never want to be seen as wrong hence why people automatically believe they always tell the truth.

All vaccines and natural immunity from previous strains are much less effective at stopping the spread of Omicron.
They still provide a decent protection against severe illness or death.
Omicron seams to be far more transmissible then previous strains and have completely replaced the delta variant in just a few weeks after it entered a region. The upside is that it seams to give much milder symptoms and despite record breaking number of daily new cases in several country's the number of deaths are actually going down.
If you take the U.K as an example where the Omicron variant have taken over you see the enormous rise in cases but a slight decline in deaths. Actual number of cases are even higher since many people only get symptoms like a common cold and do not bother to do a test. If we are lucky Omicron is the end of this pandemic and it will just be like influenza that comes and goes in waves or with the season with a limited number of deaths (Influenza still kills 650 000 people every year).
My guess is that China will try to uphold its zero tolerance strategy until the Olympics, after that they might try to let it spread control ably with severe restrictions for some time but no complete lock downs.
