Alibaba got 95% of their revenue and profits from China, because they have a hard time expanding overseas. Luckily alibaba owns Lazada in south east Asia. Tencent is better since they have a big gaming footprint worldwide. But wechat is still mostly used in China.

Tencent is a threat to facebook, if tencent manages to promote wechat against whatsapp. Tencent is certainly dominating over microsoft and Sony, since tencent is able to expand its footprint worldwide by acquiring game publishers. Now if tencent's ecosystem is weakened in China, where else do they find the resource to expand overseas?

Many Chinese startups are taking seed money from Tencent or Alibaba. Are you expecting investments from monopolies like China Mobile or PetroChina for these innovative startups?

Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft are not slacking at all. They making more money over Alibaba, Tencent and Huawei. Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft are investing in even more startups worldwide.
Is that you George Soros. Wont somebody think of the billionaires

Reminds of the stupid Republicans voters always being against taxing billionaire and multi-millionaires because, "what if I later become a billionaire and the state comes and takes more money". Every single Republican voter is wanna-be billionaires any time now. Hilarious

exactly, Republicans profit greatly from exploiting people with Dunning Kruger Syndrome to the bone. Unfortunately, China has plenty of these people - both those with Dunning Kruger Syndrome and those who exploit those with Dunning Kruger Syndrome. But fortunately, they will never get power due to meritocracy.

A great quote has it that americans consider themselves temporarily embarrassed millionaires; really, the american dream is nothing more than a ponzi scheme with the psychology of hazing; americans who 'make it' ie get a house in the suburbs with a decent job get angry if other younger generations have it easier.

Thank you for this amazingly novel information.

Yes. I thought that. I thought every man and his dog knows that. But what's he trying to convey?

Is he trying to say capitalists contribute to society as well through the tax system? Or is he saying something else?

This is it. The wannabe billionaires are just dreaming one day, we be billionaire. It's amazing how many photos I see with the downs and outs in the U.S. that sleeps rough with a U.S. flag draped around them. These morans will defend the country, and system that has done nothing for them. Yet, it's crazy how they still cling on the the American dream!

Dunning Kruger Syndrome indeed.

"Dear homeless, we are sorry to say that you alongside 328 millions American have paid 20'000 dollars, (total 6.4 trillions) on an imaginary war on terror on countries most Americans cannot put on a map, killing a million people and making them as poor as you"

Are you referring to the Jack Ma's, board members of Didi and various tax evading China celebrities by any chance? I can see that point. On the other hand, I feel there is an over abundance of people in China who are competent but who underestimate themselves. I believe this to be an overarching national sociocultural trait that far outweighs the other side of this coin. In other words, I consider China, as a whole, to have excessive humbleness that leads to a national character of self-reflection and humility. I think it is this overall national character that confounds outsiders who cannot figure out China while most outsiders can far more easily identify and understand a country like India who show all the traits of outward confidence that is more easily understood.
